Announcing Partnership with DigitalOcean

Today we are very happy to announce the partnership of us, Codeanywhere; and one of the best hosting companies in the world, DigitalOcean.

At Codeanywhere we have always aspired to enable our users to edit code no matter where it was located. Because of this aspiration we have enabled more connections than any other Cloud IDE, including FTP and SSH Servers, Amazon S3, Dropbox, Google Drive and we even created our own Container system for those that wanted to test their code on Codeanywhere first, before publishing their work on their live server.

With today's announcement of our partnership with DigitalOcean we are going a step further with integrating DigitalOcean's API into our Connection Wizard, giving users a full management console with all the features of DigitalOcean, but inside Codeanywhere. Now users will never have to leave the comfort of your favorite editor again to spin up a DigitalOcean server.

To celebrate this new feature and partnership, DigitalOcean has been generous enough to provide us with $25 credit coupons for all Codeanywhere users that open a new DigitalOcean account. These coupons are the equivalent of a full DigitalOcean server for 5 months... free!

How do I get this offer?

To get this offer first create a Codeanywhere account then follow these simple steps:

  • Go to File -> New Connection -> Digital Ocean.
  • Below the “Connect Your DigitalOcean Account” button there is section that states “Don’t Have a DigitalOcean Account? Click below to receive coupon for $25 in Credit”.
  • By clicking on the button "Get Coupon" below your coupon code will appear.

This coupon will be vaild only for new DigitalOcean accounts.

How do I connect a Digital Ocean account to Codeanywhere?

In order to create a new Droplet using Codeanywhere, simply follow these steps:

  • Go to File -> New Connection -> Digital Ocean.

  • Click on "Connect your DigitalOcean Account" in order to proceed.

  • DigitalOcean’s Authorization page will appear. Enter your DigitalOcean account details to log in and connect to your DigitalOcean account and authorize Codeanywhere.
